FitLine, not FatLine

Last weekend, I made a trip back to my hometown by coach. The trip back was to offer prayers to my late paternal grandma in conjunction with cheng meng (Chinese ritual of All Souls Day)

Sometimes, it's in confined public places that one cant help but to hear the conversation of others (I dont call this eves dropping. The conversation was so LOUD)

Anyway, these 2 Malay ladies came up the bus. They were really fat. Looking for their seat. Found their seat (Twin seats). And this is how the conversation in Malay went.

Lady A: Alamak, sempitnya (Gosh, it's so narrow)
Lady B: Eh tak muat la (Eh, I cant fit in)

As a result, Lady B, who was sitting along the aisle, had almost half of her butt jutting out of the seat.

One of the biggest disadvantage of being plus size. Each time I take the coach or flight, I pray that my neighbour is slim :)

Thank Godness I have shed my 18kg and can travel in comfort. Thanks to FitLine :)

To Do or Not To Do?

Sometimes I do rush for my FitLine appointments. Like this morning. I timed myself just well. Go to the bank and off to my appointment.

Since it was just a quickie at the bank, I parked along the yellow line, although I saw the local council car there (ready to issue summons). I made sure I made a dash to the bank.

Lo and behold, I saw this blind man. (Started thinking - to help him or not. I am rushing for time. and the local council is there. And next thing I knew, my hand just reached for him and I guided him to his destination. And during that time I was just thinking and praying that the local town council DOESNT SEE my car. Although it's very outstanding with FitLine all over!)

And good news! When I got back to my car, no summon. Yippie! Guess divine intervention? And I made it on time to my appointment :)

What is your USP?

I recently joined a networking organisation that is referral based. Since FitLine business is most of the time word of mouth, I figured this organisation will be a good platform.

Imagine to my surprise that a majority of the members, have excellent products to reach out to the market, but the members dont know how to best present their products.

Most common fumbles:
- lacking in enthusiasm when sharing
- not emphasizing on the USP
- too pushy

Thus, everyone was surprised that I'm new to the organization and yet I am able to convey my USP well. To those members who are open to feedback, I share with them some suggestions on their USPs. And I realise that I can get quite good at copy writing. haha.

To them, I mention that I have paid my 'tuition fee' for learning that and still there is always room for improvement.

Create Your Dream

I was very impressed with this decoration

Was at the mall a few days ago.

Occasionally, when the concourse is vacant, it looks really bland. However, this time round, it was very nicely decorated to promote an upcoming movie, Alice in Wonderland.

Which made me think. Isnt it the same as life? It is up to us to achieve our dreams, to make it end or move or live the way we want?

We are always surrounded by people who moan about the mediocrity in life. But when we share about how to improve, we are given the 'nah, that's not for me' or 'nah, that's too much work'

Same like the FitLine business. Yes, it's a lot of work. But I believe sincerely and wholeheartedly that all the sowing will eventually reap rewards BIG TIME.

Only The Present

I just realised that end of this month will be the first quarter of 2010.

Wow. Time just flew by. Meeting new prospects, making new friends, mentoring the current team partners, keeping in touch with friends, and making time for myself.

Definitely looking forward to everyday, knowing that FitLine supplements will be able to touch someone else's life. Of course, there will always be NOs, but the NOs will eventually lead to YESes.

And in the mean time, to remember to say my gratitude to everyone and everything around me :)

Going the Extra Mile

I attended a gathering of like minded people, who are positive and are into self development. They have a speaker every month to share about their life journey and how they are reaching out to help others.

The recent speaker is to me, a true and true teacher. When she spoke, you could feel her enthusiasm to reach out with a sincere heart with no intention of monetary gain. Since her topic was 'Going the Extra Mile', she shared testimonies after testimonies of her colleagues and herself of the joy of doing so.

After her sharing, I was thinking of how much have I gone the extra mile in my business and service of FitLine. I shared with the group of how much I did go the extra mile and many a times I was frustrated that I wasnt appreciated.

Then, the group feedback to me that 'Going the Extra Mile' means doing it without expecting any form of appreciation. It was based on the concept of joy of giving. Wow. Now, I need to internalize that.

The night ended with a quote 'Let's work towards the Extra Mile. It is NEVER crowded at the Extra Mile'. how true...
