Give Blood, Save Lives 2
We believe that charity and community service is a must for businesses. After all, profits are generated from community, and thus, to us, we should give back in terms of time, money and expertise.
Last weekend marked the second year in a row, where we took part and helped to organise a Blood Donation Drive.
During the holy month of Ramadhan, the blood bank is always low in blood supply (as Muslim are not able to donate blood during this time, and Malaysia has a population of over 70% Muslim)
We managed to successfully collect 100+ packs of blood, with the help of KDU Glenmarie as the venue sponsor and other health vendors to help create awareness about health and wellness.
We served FitLine Fitness Drink, as part of our sponsor drink. FitLine Fitness Drink is consumed by world class athletes. It helps to regenerate energy, sustenance and it tastes a great orangy flavour.
Most importantly, all of us played a part to help increase awareness about health and wellness.
Thank you to Pusat Darah Negara, donors, committee members and friends who helped make this event a success!

Tribute to A Very Special Person
This post
will be a very personal post for me. The reason being, I would like to pay
tribute to someone very dear to me.
This person
went home to her maker on April 10, 2015. This person taught me basic values
which are generosity (always donating according to her capacity), kindness and
compassion. This person taught me to spread love and cherish simplicity.
Material things are just things. It is all about touching lives and just being
there for someone in need.
And this
person taught me about humility. That all humans are the same, regardless of
ranking and status. What is most important is how the person treat others
around him or her.
During my
schooling years (I had trouble waking up for school, like any other normal
teenager), she would wake me up with a gentle kiss on my forehead or cheek and
said “Good morning, sweetie/darling”. She would then proceed to prepare my hot
bath (by carrying the heavy metal kettle from downstairs to upstairs, and mix
cold water and hot water into the basin. Why didn’t we have a heater? It is
because she didn’t want to spend unnecessarily).
When things
didn’t go too well in school, she was always there for me, up to my university
days.
After
graduating with Degree in Accounting (with Dean’s list) and working in the
Accounting industry for a few years, I was very unhappy and she supported me to
pursue my endeavours.
Who is this
mysterious person? She is my dear, beloved Mother.
With her memory
in mind, I honour her by continuing to pledge part of the proceeds of LadangSari International Sdn Bhd to the underpriviledged segments of society. I feel
truly blessed to be in the capacity to give, help others and hope that the
blessings will continue to pay forward.
Thank you
for being part of my blessings and journey.

Supporting Blood Donation Drive
I am a big believer in charity. To give back to society, and to help those who desperately need help.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to do so. As part of the committee team, with 2 month of intensive planning, we managed to organise a successful blood donation event.
We figured, while donors waited their turn to donate blood, we could have activities to occupy their time. We had First Aid Talk, Eye Check booth, milk company did bone scan, and yours truly did Health Check Scan, promoting FitLine. We even invited 'Star Wars' guests :)
Someone at the event commented, that it was the most 'happening' blood donation drive the person ever been!
The group that made it happen. The committee members, with nurses from Pusat Darah Negara ( National Blood Bank). Big appreciation to these selfless people!
It feels great to give back! Awesome!

Healthy lifestyle - Cycling Road Trip
I loved cycling since I was young. Upon moving to PJ, it is just not practical to cycle. Too many cars, no proper lane for cyclists, etc
At one time, I was also considering joining a cycling group. However, these are hard-core. Cycling 100-200km. Not for me (using my old trusty)
Mounting the bicycle rack on the car
Thus, when a friend announced that he is organising a cycling road trip to Kuala Kubu Baru, I jumped at the opportunity.
Before the start of the cycling. Last minute checks that the bicycle is in working order
Just loved this view. Have the whole road to myself. Roads are wide enough
Boiling water to make hot drink, at our stop at Kg Pertak
Although we were cycling under the scorching hot sun (11am -2pm), I enjoyed myself. Cycling on the road, with little traffic was VERY therapeutic. The greens were very scenic.
Upon arrival from Kg Pertak, back to Kuala Kubu Baru, I made my FitLine Fitness Drink. Replenished my energy and ensured, no cramps.
What a lovely way to start a great weekend, with the outdoors, healthy, enjoyable way.

FitLine in Business Networking International
I belong to the world's largest referral organisation, BNI (Business Networking International). I have been a member for more than 3 years now.
Apart from getting referrals for business, the organisation encourages us to build relationship amongst each other, to farm for business and not farm for business.
Promoting our sports marketing program
Each week, we are given a specified time (usually less than 60seconds) to educate our members on who we are looking for.
What have I gained from BNI (apart from receiving referrals)? True friends, network and most importantly self development, especially public speaking and leadership.

FitLine Social Media Campaign
Recently FitLine wanted to increase its awareness about its brand.
The campaign involved getting all members to like the FitLine page, and the person who invited the most likes will win the whole cinema to watch 'Thor 2'
My very good friend, Gina Yong, won the whole cinema. Instead of just getting friends to enjoy the movie, she turned it into a charitable cause. She invited friends to purchase the tickets and proceeds of the donation goes to Rumah Ozanam to buy uniform and school shoes. So wonderful!
